Description: The Instructional Leadership track consisted of courses in curriculum and instruction, educational policy and administration, staff development, and instructional design. I was able to add an instructional technology focus through the cognate area; which allowed me to deeply explore language learning and technology, online language instruction, digital media and language teaching, and virtual language exchanges.
My Ph.D. journey took seven years to complete (2005-2012). Within this timeframe, I completed the following requirements for the Ph.D. degree in Education:
- 47 credits of coursework in the following areas:
- Foundations

- Instructional leadership
- Cognate: Instructional media and technology
- 3 credits for externship, served as Instructional Media Specialist for VA Governor's Foreign Language Academies summer program (Grades 9-12)
